About Our Farm
Our farm is a work in progress, and we hope you will return to check on our developments again and again.
We established our nursery in 2004 and commenced coffee planting in 2005, following organic principles and implementing practices to conserve and enhance the rich volcanic soils.
Our next step, once our coffee is well established, is to introduce informative tours through the plantation. The story of coffee is a fascinating one, and we think it makes you appreciate the final product more when you understand all about how it is made!
Eventually, our farm concept will expand to encompass other exotic fruits that thrive in the rich soils of the Cairns Highlands/Atherton Tablelands. We will also weave our family’s tobacco growing heritage into stories and displays to share with you.
We envisage Tichum Creek will develop into a welcoming plantation with lots to explore, learn and taste…we hope you will visit us regularly and see how we are progressing our dreams.
